Notice is given that at a meeting of the Board of High Country Library Corporation on 12 October, 2009, the Board resolved to make a Local Law entitled “Meeting Procedures” in accordance with Part 5 of the Local Government Act 1989. The purpose of the Local Law is to regulate:
i) the use of the Corporation’s Common Seal
ii) the election of the Chairperson of the Board; and
iii) the proceedings of meetings of the Board of the Corporation
and Committees of the Corporation.
A copy of the proposed Local Law can be obtained from the Corporation’s
branch libraries during normal library hours.
Any person affected by the proposed Local Law may make a written
submission relating to the proposed Local Law under Section 223 of the
Local Government Act 1989. Submissions must be received by 27
November, 2009. Persons making written submissions should clearly
state whether they wish to be heard in support of their submission or not.
Submissions should be addressed to the Chief Executive Officer,
High Country Library Corporation, 21 Docker St., Wangaratta 3677
and lodged no later than 27 November, 2009.
